BESPOKE JEWELLERY TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Nature of Bespoke Work

All pieces are bespoke and custom-commissioned to the client’s approved design and specifications.

Due to the handmade and technical nature of fine jewellery manufacture, slight variations in finish, proportion, and stone placement may occur within normal industry tolerances. These variations do not constitute a defect.

2. Design Confirmation & Approval

Prior to production, the following details will be confirmed in writing:

• Design specifications

• Metal type

• Stone specifications (where applicable)

• Dimensions (where applicable)

• Finger size (for rings)

• Final pricing

Written approval is required before work commences.

Once approved, the design and specifications are considered final.

3. Deposits & Payment Structure

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to:

• Secure the commission

• Source stones and materials

• Begin production

The remaining balance is due in full once the piece is completed and prior to collection, handover, or dispatch.

Ownership of the piece transfers only once full payment has been received.

4. Production Timeframes

Bespoke commissions are typically completed within 4–6 weeks from receipt of deposit and final design approval.

Timeframes may vary depending on stone sourcing, complexity, or workshop scheduling. Clients will be informed of any significant delays.

5. Finger Size & Proportion (Rings)

Rings are manufactured to the finger size confirmed by the client.

Clients acknowledge that variations in finger size can alter the visual proportions and curvature of a design compared to sample pieces viewed in alternative sizes.

Proportional differences resulting from scaling a design do not constitute a manufacturing fault.

6. Measurements & Tolerances

All dimensions provided are approximate.

Due to casting, finishing, and stone-setting processes, minor variations within standard jewellery tolerances may occur.

Such variations do not qualify as defects.

7. Remakes, Alterations & Design Changes

If a confirmed manufacturing fault is identified, the piece will be repaired or remade at no additional cost.

Changes requested after production due to personal preference, proportion, height, aesthetic expectations, or design modification will be treated as a new commission or paid alteration, subject to feasibility.

Not all bespoke designs can be structurally altered once completed.

8. Refund Policy

Bespoke and custom-commissioned pieces are non-refundable.

Refunds are only offered in the case of a confirmed manufacturing fault that cannot reasonably be repaired or remade.

Change of mind, aesthetic preference, or expectation differences do not qualify for refunds.

9. Samples & Reference Pieces

Any sample, prototype, or display piece shown during consultation is for reference only.

Clients acknowledge that sample pieces may vary in size, scale, proportion, or stone characteristics and are intended to demonstrate design style rather than exact dimensions.

10. Collection, Handover & Shipping

Where possible, bespoke pieces are handed over in person at a pre-arranged appointment.

If shipping is required:

• The piece will be securely packaged

• Fully insured shipping will be arranged

• Risk transfers to the client upon confirmed delivery

Shipping costs may be charged separately unless otherwise agreed.

11. Independent Assessments

If a client chooses to seek an independent assessment, this must be conducted by a qualified jeweller.

Findings must be provided in writing. An independent opinion does not automatically constitute acceptance of fault.
